In 1980, Joe and Phil Nicolo with Obie O’Brien created Studio 4 Recording in the Northern Liberties area of Philadelphia.
Studio 4 Recording quickly became the place to make your music come alive for local and regional artists. In 1984, Joe and Phil took Andy Kravitz under their wing. They have been a production team ever since, known as The Butcher Bros’!
In 2008 with the blessings of Phil and Joe, Studio 4 West was created by Andy Kravitz in Venice Beach, California
